- Collaborate with infrastructure, product, and security leaders to integrate resilience validation into the development lifecycle.
- Set and maintain best practices for safely examining system limits and failure events in production.
- Design and oversee platforms enabling controlled production load testing and fault injections with robust safety measures including isolation, approvals, and automated rollbacks.
- Ensure full visibility, monitoring, traceability, and auditing for all resilience experiments.
- Drive systematic reliability improvements through continuous load testing and chaos experiments.
- Implement specialized monitoring, alerting, and incident response strategies focused on proactive resilience validation.
- Partner with engineering teams to safely plan and execute production load and chaos tests.
- Work with infrastructure teams to establish protective guardrails for testing activities.

- Promote a culture that prioritizes testing failures proactively to prevent impactful system disruptions.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated leadership managing engineering teams specializing in reliability, infrastructure, or distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with production load testing, chaos engineering, or large-scale validation of complex systems.
- Familiarity using chaos engineering vendors such as Gremlin or Harness, or equivalent tools.
- Deep understanding of failure patterns in distributed systems, including latency issues, partial failures, and cascading outages.
- Proven experience designing or managing systems that guarantee safety via isolation, rate limiting, guardrails, and audit capabilities.
- Comfortable working with cloud-native platforms like AWS and Kubernetes and adept with observability tooling.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Kotlin, or Java.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of balancing long-term reliability objectives with immediate business priorities.
