Job description
Overview
The role entails comprehensive oversight of the design, review, and approval stages of the overall treatment process. This includes ensuring alignment with the Employer's Requirements, Technical Specifications, Contract documents, and the Design Basis for process engineering tasks.
Core Responsibilities
- Examine and validate the Employer's Requirements, Technical Specifications, Contract documents, and the Design Basis related to process design.
- Develop and assess the Process Design Basis (PDB).
- Create and review detailed Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Carry out mass balance and water balance analyses to support design accuracy.
- Formulate hydraulic and chemical balance assessments essential for process integrity.
- Perform process-related calculations including equipment sizing, tank sizing, pump sizing and duty, membrane system parameters, chemical dosing, sludge generation, air demand, and energy consumption.
- Set clear process design criteria tailored to each treatment unit within the system.
- Critically review process guarantees and performance requirements ensuring compliance and effectiveness.
- Ensure all process designs comply fully with relevant standards and regulation frameworks.
