Overview
A prominent organization based in Doha, Qatar, is looking to recruit a seasoned Manager for IT Infrastructure & Operations. The role involves steering and managing all facets of enterprise IT functions including infrastructure, service delivery, and technology support to ensure operational efficiency, service reliability, and ongoing improvements in a dynamic environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage daily IT operations encompassing infrastructure, network systems, end-user services, security protocols, and data management.
- Guarantee optimal availability, performance, and dependability of all enterprise IT and communication platforms.
- Drive the design, rollout, and integration of new infrastructure and technological services.
- Regularly evaluate system performance to identify areas for enhancement and optimization.
- Supervise IT support operations ensuring prompt solutions to issues related to hardware, software, networks, and infrastructure.
- Maintain and strengthen partnerships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
- Cultivate a service-oriented support environment focused on delivering superior internal stakeholder service.
- Manage support for desktop, laptop, telephony, mobile, video conferencing, and other workplace technologies.
- Lead project execution for infrastructure and operational technology applications from initiation to completion.
- Assist in procurement by articulating technical requirements and assessing technology solutions.
- Monitor operational risks and enforce compliance with cybersecurity standards and governance policies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team, fostering a culture of performance, collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Support human resource processes including workforce planning, performance reviews, engagement, and skill development initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
- Professional IT certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco or equivalents are preferable.
- Possesses at least 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure and operations, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial capacity.
- Experience in managing IT environments in sizable corporate, government, or regulated sectors.
- Comprehensive knowledge of infrastructure operations, networking, systems administration, endpoint management, and IT service frameworks.
- Proficient in Microsoft technology stacks, cloud platforms, collaboration tools, and large-scale enterprise IT support.
- Demonstrated ability in managing vendor relationships, IT contracts, and ensuring SLA compliance.
- Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and engaging diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.
