Manager - Flexo Narrow-Web Printing

Overview

This role is for a seasoned Operations Manager specializing in flexo narrow-web printing to lead production activities at a plant in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The individual must bring 10-12 years of proven experience in printing or packaging sectors, combining technical expertise and commercial acumen to drive operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise day-to-day production and operations in flexo narrow-web printing.
• Ensure fulfillment of production goals regarding quantity, quality, timely delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
• Promote continuous enhancements in manufacturing methods, equipment usage, waste minimization, and workforce productivity.
• Oversee plant efficiency, manpower planning, maintenance scheduling, and workflow management.
• Support executive-level strategic and operational decisions derived from production performance and market demands.
• Provide technical and commercial guidance to clients, understanding their specific printing requirements and offering suitable solutions.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to aid in negotiations, product discussions, and solution-based sales.
• Resolve customer issues concerning product function, print quality, troubleshooting, and optimizing processes.
• Coordinate across departments including production, quality assurance, sales, supply chain, and maintenance for seamless operations.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards in Saudi Arabia.
• Prepare management reports on operational metrics, performance evaluations, and improvement strategies.
• Lead and develop teams to foster a culture driven by high performance and customer focus.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Printing Technology, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• 10-12 years experience in printing or packaging industries with deep knowledge of flexo narrow-web printing processes.
• Strong background in operations, production, or plant management roles.
• Comprehensive understanding of printing techniques, substrates, inks, adhesives, quality controls, and problem-solving in production.
• Exposure to decision-making roles at operational or business levels.
• Competence in managing both production operations and customer-facing technical-commercial interactions.
• Good commercial insight enabling support in customer discussions, pricing coordination, and solution development.
