Job Overview

The Executive Reporting and Insights Manager is responsible for leading the financial performance management processes, ensuring precise reporting, forecasting accuracy, operational insights, and making data-driven recommendations to enhance profitability and cost efficiency across operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the financial reporting, compliance, and management accounting for Aluminum Associate and Joint Venture (JV) operations, ensuring accuracy in cash flows and tax obligations.
  • Act as the liaison between JV and partner organizations, ensuring that financial activities conform to the joint venture agreement and the strategic objectives of all involved parties.
  • Lead the annual budgeting cycle and develop long-term financial strategies including 5 to 10-year plans and rolling forecasts covering an aggregate budget exceeding US $3 billion annually.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports such as Profit & Loss statements, cash flow analyses, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and cost assessments.
  • Conduct variance and operational driver analysis to provide actionable insights to senior leadership for the JV and its subsidiaries.
  • Serve as the primary contact for JV partners, boards of directors, and investment committees.
  • Evaluate operational KPIs, analyze cost drivers, and suggest improvements to enhance operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with JV governance frameworks, internal control standards, and international accounting standards including IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, debt compliance, refinancing activities, capital calls, and treasury functions.
  • Coordinate with external parties such as auditors, tax consultants, and lenders regarding project-level reporting and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts in financial systems and procedures, leveraging ERP platforms and associated technologies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field.
  • Preferred professional certifications include CMA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Minimum of 8 to 12 years of progressive experience in finance-related roles such as performance management, planning, and analysis.
  • At least 3 to 5 years in management or senior analyst positions.
  • Highly proficient with advanced Microsoft Excel functions, financial modeling, and data visualization tools like Power BI.
  • Experience working in manufacturing, mining, metals, or industrial sectors is preferred.
