Manager - Design

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead innovative design initiatives, ensuring projects meet the highest standards in quality, functionality, and aesthetic value. You will manage multidisciplinary design teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and oversee project delivery from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and mentorship to architects and designers, fostering technical development and team guidance.
• Oversee the creation and refinement of design concepts, plans, and specifications aligned with project goals.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams, consultants, and external parties to define requirements and integrate design solutions.
• Manage the entire design process, monitoring scope, timelines, budgets, and quality compliance.
• Review and authorize design submissions, technical documents, and drawings to ensure standards and project objectives are met.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and suppliers to facilitate efficient project implementation.
• Keep updated on the latest design trends, technologies, and innovations to incorporate industry best practices.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant regulations, codes, and company policies.
• Promote a collaborative, creative, and continually improving culture within the design team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Urban Design, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 to 10 years of progressively responsible experience in design management, ideally in large-scale mixed-use, hospitality, entertainment, or real estate projects.
• Proven capability in leading multidisciplinary design teams and handling complex design projects.
• Strong knowledge of design foundations, construction processes, applicable codes, and regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent skills in communication, presentations, and managing stakeholder relations.
• Advanced project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated leadership, decision-making acumen, and problem-solving talents.
• Familiarity or expertise in sustainable design principles and environmental best practices is a plus.
