Manager – Data Governance & Master Data Management (MDM)

About the Role

Agthia Group is establishing a new Group Data & AI division and requires a leader to develop and direct data governance and master data management functions from inception. Currently, inconsistencies exist across various business units with respect to product, customer, and supplier data due to the absence of a unified governance framework. The appointed manager will design this framework, lead the Data Governance Council, and provide a reliable single source of truth for business data.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the enterprise-wide data governance framework including the operating model, policies, and standards.
• Lead and chair the Data Governance Council to drive consensus and enforcement of data standards across the group.
• Oversee master data management initiatives concerning product, customer, supplier, and finance domains.
• Manage data quality efforts including maintaining the enterprise data catalog and business glossary.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations such as the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineering and Architecture teams to embed governance protocols within the enterprise data platform.

Requirements

• Between 10 to 15 years of professional experience in data governance, master data management, or data quality functions.
• Proven practical expertise working hands-on with MDM platforms including SAP MDG, Informatica, Profisee, Reltio, or Stibo.
• Familiarity with governance and data quality tools like Purview, Unity Catalog, Informatica DQ, Ataccama, or Collibra.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience interacting directly with ERP or other source system data structures.
• Demonstrated success establishing data governance frameworks within organizations that have low initial maturity and driving adoption across multiple business units.
