Manager Data Architect

Overview

As a Manager Data Architect at our company, you will design and execute scalable, high-efficiency data solutions that empower advanced analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence initiatives. This role demands close collaboration with multifaceted teams to define and optimize data architectures, refine data pipelines, and uphold data quality along with governance protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess business requirements and existing infrastructures to craft scalable, reliable, and cost-effective enterprise data platforms.
• Validate architectural designs with technical subject matter experts and gain endorsement from senior leadership, translating these designs into actionable roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing data quality, lineage, and master data management, besides establishing industry best practices for governance, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams to deliver comprehensive data-driven solutions.
• Ensure smooth integration of data across cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, SaaS offerings, and on-premise applications handling diverse structured and unstructured data formats.
• Develop and maintain data models and standards across conceptual, logical, and physical design layers, including metadata management and data dictionaries to maintain uniformity and precision.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to both client and delivery teams, fostering innovation and adherence to best practices.
• Leverage artificial intelligence technologies to enhance quality and output of deliverables.
• Continuously monitor emerging AI and cloud-based data technologies to drive ongoing improvements and maintain competitive advantage for clients.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Over 12 years of experience in data engineering with an emphasis on data technologies.
• Advanced proficiency in data architecture, data modeling, and ETL/ELT methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with multiple cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Competency in real-time data processing technologies such as Kafka or Flink.
• Deep understanding of data governance, security policies, and compliance requirements.
• Strong skills in SQL and NoSQL database systems alongside data warehousing solutions.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities focused on enhancing performance.

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to artificial intelligence and machine learning pipelines and deployment models.
• Knowledge of graph databases and data virtualization techniques.
• Familiarity with data mesh concepts and contemporary data architecture strategies.
