Manager, Cyber Threat Management and Security Operations

Position Overview

The Manager of Cyber Threat Management and Security Operations leads proactive cybersecurity efforts to detect, evaluate, and mitigate cyber risks before impacting business operations. This role encompasses ownership of Cyber Threat Intelligence, Threat Hunting, Detection Engineering, Vulnerability Management, Attack Surface Management, Security Analytics, and governance of Security Operations. Collaborating with SOC, Infrastructure, Network, Cloud, and Application teams, it strengthens the company's cyber resilience and safeguards its security posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and advance the enterprise-wide Cyber Threat Management program, crafting defense strategies informed by threat intelligence, attacker tactics, and business risks.
• Continuously monitor relevant cyber threats, translating intelligence into actionable controls, detection content, and risk mitigation efforts.
• Oversee Cyber Threat Intelligence initiatives, defining intelligence requirements aligned with organizational risks and spearheading active threat hunting across endpoints, cloud, networks, and systems.
• Lead detection engineering by creating and optimizing detection use cases, integrating multi-environment telemetry, and collaborating with SOC teams to enhance detection efficacy and reduce false positives.
• Manage the vulnerability management program with a risk-based approach that includes threat intelligence, exploitability, criticality, and attack path analysis, tracking remediation progress and embedding continuous threat exposure management.
• Head External and Internal Attack Surface Management efforts by identifying internet-facing assets, shadow IT, exposed services, and misconfigurations, while directing remediation to decrease organizational exposure.
• Direct security validation through threat-led testing, purple team exercises, attack simulations, and adversary emulations to verify control effectiveness and uncover vulnerabilities.
• Establish Security Operations governance, defining standards, KPIs, KRIs, and executing automation to boost operational efficiency while managing related technology roadmaps.
• Provide security oversight and expert advice for network, cloud, and infrastructure security initiatives, ensuring alignment with threat landscapes and business needs.
• Lead and mentor security engineers and specialists, managing strategic projects and maintaining executive-level communications about cyber risk, threat environment, and security posture.
• Maintain strategic partnerships with security vendors, service providers, and threat intelligence collaborators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related fields; a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity or Information Security is favored.
• Over 10 years of broad cybersecurity experience, with at least 5 years focused on Cyber Threat Management, Threat Intelligence, Security Operations, Detection Engineering, or Vulnerability Management.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing cybersecurity teams.
• Proven capability in formulating threat-driven defense strategies and cyber risk mitigation frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience within enterprise network, infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity contexts.
• Experienced in leading cross-functional cybersecurity projects and engaging with executive-level stakeholders effectively.
