Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced cyber security consultant to join our dynamic team. This role involves managing a variety of client engagements, where you will identify and mitigate cyber security risks across multiple sectors and domains. You'll face diverse challenges daily, requiring adaptability and a broad skill set.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute cyber security advisory and assurance projects across various domains to help clients address evolving threats.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, fostering productive relationships and leveraging cross-disciplinary expertise.
• Contribute to client proposal development and support the growth and capability building of the cyber team.
• Maintain the high standards of quality, judgement, and innovation associated with KPMG’s reputation.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently with attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 5 years’ consulting experience in cyber security.
• Extensive hands-on experience in areas such as security architecture, risk and governance management, security strategy, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• In-depth knowledge of cyber security standards and expectations within the New Zealand public sector.
• Proven track record in mentoring and developing junior personnel.
• Relevant tertiary education and recognized professional certifications.
• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to manage stakeholders at various organizational levels and collaborate across service lines.
• Excellent communication skills capable of translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Self-motivated with a proactive and practical approach to problem-solving.
