Manager, Audit - Public Companies

About the Role

At KPMG Canada, the audit management team delivers critical insights to clients by deeply understanding their businesses and applying rigorous audit practices. This role involves leading audit teams servicing prominent publicly listed clients, ensuring accurate accounting procedures are applied, and adding measurable value throughout the audit lifecycle.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise audit engagements from planning through to completion for various clients.
• Contribute to the practice group by assisting with the implementation of the business plan.
• Collaborate with the practice management team to achieve the assurance financial objectives.
• Mentor and provide guidance to audit staff to enhance their capabilities.
• Apply KPMG’s standardized audit and accounting methodologies consistently during client assignments.

Qualifications and Experience

• Pursuit or possession of a Canadian CPA designation or recognized international equivalent.
• Minimum of five years’ experience within a public practice accounting environment.
• Proficiency with IFRS standards, specifically dealing with publicly listed entities.
• Strong client service orientation, with the ability to comprehend client business operations and foster strong relationships.
• Capability to juggle multiple priorities and demands effectively.
• Motivated by achieving superior client service outcomes.
• Track record of developing client portfolios and generating revenue.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to teamwork.
• Prior professional accounting firm experience is mandatory.
