About the Role
Join a prominent global company specializing in natural rubber trading and processing, based in Singapore. The Management Trainee will be integrated into the Rubber trading desk, gaining comprehensive experience across the entire trading value chain—from executing trades and coordinating supply chains to monitoring risk and overseeing commercial performance. This opportunity is designed as an entry point into a full-fledged career in commodity trading.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing trade execution activities on the SICOM rubber futures desk, including recording trades, reconciling transactions, and monitoring ongoing trade progress.
- Work collaboratively with the Rubber analyst team to analyze supply and demand market dynamics.
- Create and maintain dashboards, KPI scorecards, and governance reports that assist in making informed trading decisions.
- Monitor Asia region trading profit and loss statements and conduct detailed variance analysis.
- Engage in coordination efforts with multiple departments including logistics, finance, risk management, and supply chain teams to optimize operations.
- Drive initiatives aimed at digital transformation and automating processes facilitating the trading workflow.
Candidate Profile
- Applicants must hold an MBA degree and bring 1 to 3 years of experience following their MBA completion.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel and Power BI are crucial, alongside a meticulous and analytical approach to tasks.
- Fluency in Mandarin at a native or professional working level is mandatory due to interactions with China-based operations.
