Maintenance Technician

Job Overview

The role of Maintenance Technician involves handling both reactive and planned maintenance to support facility upkeep at the Malta office. This multiskilled position demands versatility across different maintenance areas to preserve building infrastructure in top condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a broad spectrum of general maintenance duties to high standards.
• Carry out both reactive and scheduled maintenance tasks.
• Deliver on-call emergency response support outside regular hours according to a rota system.
• Handle general maintenance work including painting, decorating, basic plumbing, and minor electrical repairs to ensure building safety and functionality.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Proficiency in multiple maintenance disciplines such as plumbing, decorating, and general repairs.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, including COSHH, risk assessments, and permits to work.
• Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with fire safety equipment like fire doors and extinguishers.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work schedules.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.

Work Schedule and Additional Details

• Standard workdays are Monday to Friday, with scheduled on-call duties on a rotating basis.
• Occasional overtime during weekends is expected to address critical maintenance issues.
