Role Summary
This is an entry-level Maintenance Technician position for individuals passionate about hands-on work with tools and eager to develop a career in maintenance. The role involves receiving training and gaining experience in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems maintenance.
Work Hours
Shift timing: 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations
- Engage in maintenance tasks using hand tools under guidance.
- Learn and perform servicing on hydraulics, electrical systems, and industrial batteries, including watering, washing, testing, and repairs.
- Undergo training to work safely with electrical components and use vendor manuals for preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Complete company-sponsored courses to enhance technical knowledge.
- Achieve certification and operate powered material handling equipment such as forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
- Promote teamwork and inclusiveness to build strong working relationships and collaboratively solve problems.
- Apply analytical thinking and problem-solving skills effectively within the role.
- Adhere strictly to company safety protocols and maintain safe working environments.
- Work comfortably in a warehouse setting that experiences seasonal temperature changes.
- Communicate effectively in basic English, both verbally and in writing.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Pass legally permissible drug screening.
- Willingness and ability to work additional hours and overtime as business demands.
- Capable of working at heights up to 40 feet when necessary.
- Physically able to lift, push, or pull weights ranging from 70 to 100 pounds manually.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
