Position Overview
This entry-level Maintenance Technician role is ideal for individuals passionate about working with hand tools and eager to develop a career in maintenance. Staples will provide the necessary training and practical experience to help cultivate your skills in this field.
Key Responsibilities and Training
- Develop mechanical skills related to hydraulics, electrical systems, and industrial batteries including watering, washing, testing, and repairs.
- Undergo training to handle electrical maintenance tasks safely.
- Learn to utilize vendor manuals and procedural guidelines to perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Participate in company-sponsored courses to expand knowledge base.
- Get certified to operate power material handling equipment such as forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
Work Environment and Approach
- Build inclusive relationships with colleagues and customers to enhance collaboration and problem resolution.

Basic Qualifications

- Successful completion of legally permissible drug screening.
- Availability to work overtime beyond scheduled shifts as business demands.
- Physical ability to work at heights up to 40 feet and lift, push, or pull loads between 70 and 100 pounds manually.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Basic proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
