Job description
Role Overview
As a Maintenance Technician, you will work closely with the Senior Maintenance Technician to manage maintenance tasks for approximately 65 pubs and hotels across the Yorkshire region. Each day presents diverse responsibilities involving collaboration with pub teams and managers to enhance site conditions and ensure customer safety. This role includes fieldwork requiring a driving license and use of a company van for transporting tools and materials.
Primary Duties
- Handle assigned property repairs efficiently to minimize disruption to business operations.
- Conduct visual inspections during site visits and report concerns to the Senior Maintenance Technician or Regional Building Surveyor.
- Coordinate with Greene King's Building Maintenance, Helpdesk, and Compliance teams to track tasks and confirm completion.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and maintenance standards across sites.
- Identify, source, and procure necessary materials and spare parts from approved suppliers to complete repairs.
- Prioritize tasks in accordance with current service level agreements (SLAs).
- Be available occasionally for night duties or travel when required for conferences or support.

Qualifications and Skills Required
- A genuine enthusiasm for the hospitality industry and commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- A versatile maintenance skillset covering carpentry, plumbing, minor electrical work, painting and decorating, plastering, concrete work, and small-scale repairs including garden fixtures and equipment.
- Strong understanding of health and safety, maintenance procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Effective communication abilities to clearly share information and ideas with pub teams.
- Competence in identifying defects, diagnosing causes, resolving issues independently or escalating appropriately.
- A full UK driving license is mandatory.
