Maintenance Supervisor

Overview

The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee a team consisting of internal technicians and external vendors to ensure Americana Restaurants, commissaries, and head/regional offices comply with global standards. This includes Maintenance, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing (MEP), branding, compliance, health, and safety excellence. They act as the primary liaison with the Regional Operations team to guarantee superior customer service and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs). The role involves accepting new site operations (NSO) from the Construction team per head office standards and maintaining all restaurants accordingly.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage reactive complaints and planned preventive maintenance (PPM) by ensuring technicians and vendors respond within the set Americana Maintenance SLA/KPI timelines, monitoring completion of PPM work orders as required.
• Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders including Operations teams, Supply Chain, Finance, and Mall management, maintaining strong customer and stakeholder relationships and availability during restaurant operating hours.
• Oversee execution of annual Capital Expenditure (Capex) plans from technical reporting through RFP, execution, and reporting; manage monthly and annual Operating Expenditure (OPEX) budgets to prevent overspending.
• Minimize reliance on external vendors by resolving issues via the in-house team and avoiding unnecessary spare parts replacements; advise supervisors on major repair or alteration needs.
• Support energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives like implementing IoT projects, digital thermostats, water and gas consumption monitoring, and solar panel installations.
• Direct team management duties, including training coordination through internal and external trainers, job prioritization, and shift scheduling.
• Commit to personal professional development by attending training courses and leveraging digital technologies to optimize work order management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in restaurant maintenance.
• Hands-on expertise managing kitchen equipment and comprehensive MEP systems, with extensive familiarity with Qatari authorities, mall, and landlord regulations.
• Proficiency with field management systems, Microsoft Office, Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) software, and IoT-enabled applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; Arabic language skills are highly desirable, both spoken and written.
• Possession of a valid Qatar driving license is required.
