Job Overview
The Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee the housekeeping team to maintain all guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas in line with the hotel's standards for cleanliness, hygiene, presentation, and guest service excellence.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assign daily tasks and supervise activities of Room Attendants and housekeeping personnel.
- Conduct inspections of guest rooms and public zones to verify cleanliness and proper upkeep.
- Liaise with the Front Office regarding room status, arrivals, departures, and early check-ins.
- Address guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related complaints efficiently.
- Manage inventory to ensure sufficient linen, towels, amenities, and cleaning materials are available and controlled.
- Implement and maintain Lost & Found procedures accurately.
- Report maintenance issues in rooms and coordinate with Engineering for timely resolution.
- Monitor attendance, grooming standards, discipline, and productivity of housekeeping staff.
- Ensure correct handling and storage of cleaning agents and equipment.
- Maintain housekeeping logs, checklists, registers, and generate daily activity reports.
- Enforce compliance with hotel SOPs, hygiene protocols, safety, and security measures.
- Conduct shift briefings and ensure thorough handover of outstanding tasks.
Qualifications & Experience
- Educational qualification of at least 12th Standard; diploma or degree in Hotel Management is desirable.
- Two to four years of experience in housekeeping, ideally with prior supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills, leadership capacity, and adept at guest relations.
- Proficient knowledge of room cleaning procedures, linen management, and overall housekeeping operations.

- Ensuring guest satisfaction through prompt complaint handling and quality service.
- Achieving timely readiness and cleaning of rooms.
- Effective management of linen and inventory controls.

- Strict adherence to hygiene, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures.
Overall Responsibility
This role is accountable for keeping the property consistently clean, hygienic, appealing, and ready for guests while efficiently supervising the housekeeping team and resource utilization.
