Maintenance Shift Electrician

Overview

We are seeking experienced Maintenance Electricians to join a leading Australian food manufacturing company on a permanent, full-time basis. These roles involve working rotating shifts at the Morwell, Victoria site. Key Responsibilities

• Timely diagnosis and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment breakdowns.
• Carrying out preventative maintenance to optimize equipment performance and limit operational downtime.
• Mentoring colleagues by sharing expertise and promoting safe equipment handling practices.
• Ensuring all electrical work aligns with engineering standards, safety protocols, and food quality regulations.
• Participating in initiatives focused on continuous improvement and workplace safety to strengthen site culture.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Fully licensed Electrician with prior experience in manufacturing or a similar industrial setting.
• Strong analytical thinking with demonstrated skills in root cause analysis for problem solving.
• Familiarity with automation technology including PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial network configurations.
• Proficient fault finding and troubleshooting capabilities across a variety of electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as drawings, manuals, and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
