Maintenance Services Representative - Riyadh

Job Overview

The Maintenance Services Representative will handle maintenance, preventive procedures, and modifications of Panasonic Avionics Corporation's In-flight Entertainment (IFE) Systems installed on aircraft governed by FAA/CAA/EASA/CASA regulations. This role involves troubleshooting, testing, removal, replacement, and alteration of electronic components onboard aircraft.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform IFE systems maintenance and support including built-in test (BIT) and manual testing of electronic units.
• Diagnose faults in electronic units, cabling, and seat consoles down to the line replaceable modules (LRUs) using electronic theory knowledge.
• Identify and execute necessary repairs by replacing defective modules and cabling.
• Operate vehicles within airport premises and near aircraft safely following airport protocols.
• Utilize airline communication systems effectively and liaise with customers professionally.
• Document inspections, tests, repairs, and parts management using computers and barcode technology.
• Assist with spare parts inventory tracking and parts preparation.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisors or management as needed.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
• Preferred 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in related industries.
• Possession of appropriate academic or technical certifications meeting regulatory and FAA A&P licensing standards.
• Must be eligible to pass thorough security and background checks.

Skills and Knowledge

• Ability to understand, interpret, and follow technical instructions, blueprints, diagrams, procedures, and verbal instructions in English.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of electronics and troubleshooting gained via aviation, military, technical school, or equivalent industry experience (1-3 years).
• Capability to perform well under stress and pressure.
• Skilled in determining methods and procedures for new assignments and working independently on moderately complex issues.
• Proactive in making recommendations and completing tasks efficiently as a specialist.

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time to support other line stations.
• Valid driver’s license and compliance with airport authority vehicle operation regulations.
• Flexibility to work any shift including weekends and holidays.
• Manual dexterity for handling tools, parts, and equipment.
• Physical ability to climb ladders or platforms and to stand, sit, bend, or twist for prolonged periods.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds as required.
• Ability to perform tasks under harsh weather and confined conditions and manage exposure to noise and congestion.
