Role Overview

Join Komatsu as a key contributor supporting the MARC Contract at Batchfire Mine. Your primary responsibility will be to plan and coordinate long-term maintenance activities that ensure the safe and efficient operation of some of the largest machinery in the mining sector.

Located in Biloela, Queensland, you will coordinate labour, parts, subcontractors, and other resources to execute safe, timely, and budget-conscious maintenance across the mining fleet.

A crucial aspect of your role will involve planning extensive machine shutdowns to minimize equipment downtime while enhancing availability. You will collaborate closely with two short-term planners and receive daily guidance from the site manager. Additionally, you will provide coverage for the planning team as necessary.

Candidate Profile

• Possession of a relevant trade qualification, ideally in mobile plant technology.
• Prior hands-on experience working with mining equipment.
• Proven expertise in maintenance planning and scheduling tasks.
• Background in organizing shutdowns, managing resources, and overseeing maintenance budgets.
• Strong organizational capabilities and aptitude for handling multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems; proficiency with SAP, Dynamics, or RM Care is advantageous.
• A team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with planners, supervisors, trades personnel, subcontractors, and customers.
• Essential industry experience relevant to mining operations.

Location & Allowances

Applicants residing outside Biloela can travel to the site at the start of the week and return home by the end of the week, with camp accommodation provided on site. Employees based in Biloela qualify for a weekly zone allowance of $200.
