Job description
Role Summary
Join Hartford Care at Island Court Care Home in Coseley, West Midlands, as a dedicated Maintenance Person working full-time (40 hours per week). In this role, you will deliver general maintenance and caretaking services to uphold the home's environment and grounds including gardens. Your efforts will help foster a positive, caring atmosphere throughout the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks such as redecorating rooms, laying carpets, testing fire alarms, and repairing fixtures.
- Engage compassionately with residents during maintenance activities.
- Collaborate effectively with team members while also working independently when required.
- Ensure all buildings and grounds are kept in excellent condition.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a kind and caring disposition geared toward supporting residents' wellbeing.
- Have proven skills in general maintenance work, with strong painting and decorating experience showcased by attention to detail.
- Be proficient in using IT tools including iPads and relevant apps.
- Maintain knowledge of health and safety legislation relevant to maintenance work.
- Exhibit excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Be adaptable with work hours and capable of self-motivated work.
- Hold a valid, clean full driving license.
Desirable Qualification
Training as a Legionella Responsible Person is advantageous but not mandatory.
