In close partnership with the Maintenance Manager and fellow team members, you will address maintenance needs promptly and enhance the quality of life within the student community.

  • Execute a broad range of maintenance duties, including fundamental joinery, plastering, decorating, plumbing, electrical repairs, and reactive maintenance to keep buildings secure and in excellent condition.
  • Uphold health and safety standards by conducting routine monitoring, responding swiftly to related calls, and strictly following all policies and procedures.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by engaging positively with students and colleagues, managing maintenance inquiries, and addressing student concerns with a helpful attitude.
  • Assist with room preparation tasks such as turnover and inspections, especially prior to the academic year's commencement.
  • Utilize appropriate tools and procedures to accurately document maintenance tasks, perform scheduled inspections, and report necessary corrective work to specialized engineers.

Candidate Requirements

  • Familiarity and strict compliance with health and safety legislation to maintain a secure work environment and legal conformity.
  • Experience in general maintenance roles combined with exposure to customer service, demonstrating reliability and a customer-focused approach.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills, enabling efficient issue resolution and professional interactions with stakeholders and team members.
  • Previous experience in Purpose Built Student Accommodation (PBSA), student housing, property management, or the hospitality sector is advantageous though not mandatory.
