Maintenance Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Kundrathur, Chennai. This position offers a monthly salary up to ₹40,000 along with accommodation, various allowances, and statutory benefits. Candidates should have between 2 to 8 years of experience in machine maintenance and possess ITI or Diploma qualifications in Mechanical or Production Engineering. Individuals skilled in CNC programming and machining will be given special consideration.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and perform preventive as well as breakdown maintenance tasks.
• Maintain various production machines including CNC, VMC, HMC, and VTL.
• Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ensure minimal machine downtime to maximize operational availability.
• Maintain and update daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules.
• Analyze machine performance to detect repeated failures.
• Keep detailed maintenance records, breakdown documentation, and spare parts inventory.
• Work closely with production teams to reduce machine downtime.
• Oversee upkeep of compressors, DG sets, electrical panels, and utilities.
• Supervise maintenance technicians and assign their daily tasks.
• Ensure adherence to 5S standards, safety protocols, and ISO regulations.
• Identify and propose improvements to machinery and cost-saving measures.
• Liaise with external vendors and machinery suppliers for services.
• Monitor and maintain critical spare parts stock levels.
