Maintenance Manager

About the Role

As the Maintenance Manager at our hotel in Riyadh, you will play a pivotal role in not only ensuring the physical safety and operational functionality of our property but also in delivering memorable experiences that reflect the warmth of hospitality. Your leadership will inspire the Engineering Team to maintain the highest standards, while you also stay current with compliance regulations and foster a safe, welcoming environment for guests and team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all engineering and maintenance operations, including managing energy conservation efforts.
• Lead the daily activities of the Engineering Team, setting service, equipment, and work schedules.
• Collaborate closely with Housekeeping to prioritize maintenance work for guest rooms and public spaces.
• Implement procedures ensuring the health and safety of guests, staff, equipment, and property.
• Liaise with governmental bodies to maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
• Prepare budgets related to capital expenditures and repairs for the engineering department.
• Conduct routine inspections and checks throughout the hotel premises.
• Execute emergency lift release procedures when necessary.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Maintain strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external customers.
• Ensure all fixtures and fittings are safe and take immediate action to address hazards.
• Develop and manage emergency response programs.
• Lead energy conservation initiatives aimed at reducing costs.
• Oversee renovation project bids, define scope and budget, and supervise contractors to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Drive special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Promote and implement environmentally friendly systems and technologies.
• Monitor department KPIs and execute corrective measures to improve performance.
• Manage all team member-related activities including hiring, performance reviews, training, career growth, disciplinary actions, and motivation.
