Role Overview and Responsibilities

This maintenance position is ideal for someone detail-oriented and proud of their craftsmanship. Collaborating closely with the Hotel Manager as part of a small, dedicated team, you will contribute significantly to creating memorable guest experiences. Your daily tasks will vary, but key responsibilities include:

• Performing general maintenance duties in hotel rooms and communal areas
• Repairing apartments, equipment, and hardware in shared spaces
• Troubleshooting and addressing issues with electrical devices including TVs and air conditioners
• Responding promptly to emergencies and maintaining maintenance inventories
• Overseeing on-site contractors including managing compliance, inductions, service contract upkeep, and conducting building audits for compliance
• Working autonomously with an ownership mentality while actively engaging with the team
• Assisting with managing and rectifying defects in new buildings

Tools and supplies required for your work will be provided to help you succeed and contribute towards upkeep and improvement of the property's condition.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Valid Australian work authorization such as citizenship, permanent residency, or a visa permitting work
• Solid understanding and experience with general maintenance tasks
• A positive, proactive 'can do' attitude
• A willingness to acquire new skills and creatively solve problems amidst operational challenges
• High pride and quality in workmanship
• Excellent communication skills and an ability to create positive impressions with team members and guests
