Role Overview

The Maintenance Executive role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru, responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of Basil outlets. Key duties include conducting routine inspections of kitchen equipment, electrical and plumbing systems, and overall facility infrastructure; identifying and addressing maintenance issues; and coordinating repair activities to avoid business disruptions. The role involves planning and executing preventive maintenance schedules, liaising with service vendors, maintaining safety and hygiene compliance, and supporting new outlet setups or upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled and ad hoc maintenance checks for kitchen equipment, refrigeration units, electrical installations, plumbing, and facility infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults promptly, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors for repairs.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs, records of work done, and inventory of spare parts and tools.
• Manage spare parts stock levels to ensure availability for timely repairs.
• Collaborate with operations, store managers, and area managers to schedule maintenance without disrupting outlet operations.
• Support outlet upgrades and new site setups with necessary maintenance planning and execution.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards applicable to food service environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Competence in routine and preventive maintenance for kitchen equipment, refrigeration, and electrical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault diagnosis abilities, with experience coordinating repair efforts.
• Understanding of safety and hygiene compliance in food service and facility contexts.
• Experience in record-keeping related to maintenance tasks and inventory management.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple maintenance tasks across several locations.
• Good communication skills for effective collaboration with operational teams and management.
• Previous experience in maintenance or facilities roles within hospitality, retail, or food service sectors is preferred.
• Diploma or certification in electrical, mechanical, or facilities maintenance, or equivalent practical experience.
• Availability to work flexible schedules including weekends or holidays when needed.
