Job Overview

We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to execute maintenance operations within our facility in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The role involves machine repair, commissioning, validation, and coordination with various teams to ensure smooth operation and maintenance of plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out assigned maintenance tasks including machine repairs, commissioning new equipment, and validation activities following instructions from the Maintenance Unit Head or Manager.
  • Support troubleshooting for breakdowns and perform preventive maintenance to ensure machine reliability.
  • Design machine upgrades (electrical or mechanical), submit for approval, and oversee implementation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area post-task completion.
  • Accurately document task details, including timings, status, and findings; submit Repair Request Forms for unresolved issues.
  • Gather feedback from production teams to confirm resolution effectiveness.
  • Coordinate resources and critical spare parts procurement with the Maintenance Unit Head and Store team, escalating delays when necessary.
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify patterns like repetitive breakdowns or delays in maintenance schedules and propose corrective actions.
  • Manage and perform in-house calibrations; liaise with external calibration agencies via the Local Purchasing Unit to ensure timely calibrations with certificate follow-ups.
  • Adhere to all company safety procedures, conduct risk assessments, promote safety awareness, and participate actively in safety meetings, audits, and emergency drills.
  • Implement 5S practices to maintain an organized and safe working environment within the maintenance area.

Interfaces

  • Collaborate internally with Maintenance, Production, Store/Spare Parts, and Health & Safety teams.
  • Coordinate externally with Local Purchasing Unit and calibration service providers.

Qualifications and Experience

  • University degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Between 2 to 4 years in industrial maintenance or plant engineering positions.

Competencies

  • Deep understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance methods.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and work instructions.
  • Experience with spare parts inventory and calibration management.
  • Analytical aptitude for troubleshooting and continuous process improvement.
  • Skilled in documenting and reporting maintenance activities.

Working Conditions

  • Good physical condition required to handle work demands and pressure.
  • Willingness to work alternate shifts as required.
  • Strict compliance with local labor laws and company safety policies is mandatory.
