Job description
Role Overview
This position involves providing comprehensive IT support within complex Windows-based environments. The engineer will manage Windows 10 and 11 systems, handle enterprise OS deployments and migrations, and ensure effective endpoint provisioning through tools like SCCM. The role demands expertise in Active Directory, group policy administration, and troubleshooting of desktop systems and peripherals.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems, including deployment and reimaging tasks.
- Use SCCM and other endpoint deployment tools for enterprise-scale OS migration and provisioning.
- Manage Active Directory functions and Group Policy configurations.
- Provide hardware validation and troubleshoot device drivers via Device Manager.
- Conduct network troubleshooting focusing on TCP/IP, DNS, and LAN connectivity.
- Support POS systems, specifically Petpooja, including setup, software updates, and peripheral integration.
- Perform backup and restoration operations to ensure data integrity.
- Configure and maintain network printers and other connected peripheral devices.
- Manage assets and inventory related to IT hardware and software equipment.
Required Skills
- Proficient with Windows 10 and Windows 11 administration and deployment techniques.
- Experience using SCCM for system imaging and endpoint configuration.
- Strong command of Active Directory and Group Policy management.
- Competent in PowerShell scripting and Windows command-line operations.
- Knowledgeable in network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and LAN troubleshooting.
- Expertise in hardware troubleshooting including device drivers and peripheral devices.
- Familiarity with POS systems administration and related hardware support.
- Ability to manage backup and recovery procedures effectively.
