Role Overview

As a Maintenance Coordinator reporting to the Maintenance Service Manager, you will contribute to ensuring uninterrupted data centre operations and adherence to customer service level agreements (SLAs). This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams including managers, technicians, and third-party vendors to plan, oversee, and execute both scheduled and unplanned maintenance activities at a designated site.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Maintenance Service Manager in asset management including delivery planning, maintenance scheduling, condition and lifecycle monitoring.
• Manage asset data through CMMS/IWMS systems, encompassing maintenance specifications, drawings, fire engineering reports, and environmental compliance such as wastewater and air quality management.
• Coordinate work orders, access approvals, and administrative tasks for technical staff and suppliers on-site.
• Champion reliability initiatives on-site by promoting reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles.
• Maintain and update preventive maintenance plans and continuously refine asset management protocols, including service reporting, fault analysis, and root cause documentation.
• Support other sites during demand peaks as necessary and ensure high data accuracy in all systems.
• Prepare and control documentation to comply with internal and external audits.
• Generate and support monthly and quarterly reports using relevant data.
• Ensure strict compliance with all applicable regulations including environmental, building, fire safety, health and occupational standards.
• Assist with general site administrative duties.
• Utilize CMMS and other software tools to manage inventory of tools, equipment, and consumables efficiently.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of three years experience in maintenance planning, preferably within critical environments or data centres.
• A degree or technical qualification in electrical, mechanical, or MEP engineering.
• Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (such as ServiceNow, Maximo, Si7, Tririga, Archibus).
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications with the ability to analyze and manipulate large datasets, including the use of BI tools and pivot tables advantageous.
• Knowledge of local and national regulatory codes and permit procedures.
• Understanding of ITIL frameworks and mechanical and electrical systems relevant to data centre operations.
• Excellent communication skills enabling effective interaction of technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-solving capabilities including root cause analysis and solution implementation.
