Job description
Role Overview
Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Attendant is responsible for executing general upkeep of hotel premises, engaging in both interior and exterior maintenance duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct visual inspections of equipment regularly to identify issues.
- Engage actively in preventive maintenance routines for the building and its systems.
- Complete daily maintenance assignments and maintain accurate records of activities.
- Carry out repair work inside and outside the facility as required.
- Identify and report malfunctioning systems, performing necessary repairs where feasible.
- Occasionally transport materials from off-site locations as needed.
- Assist with moving and positioning items by carrying, lifting, or maneuvering them on stairs, ramps, or with ladders.
- Maintain mechanical components within the building under guidance from the maintenance supervisor.
- Perform minor electrical tasks, such as replacing light bulbs.
- Follow service manuals and guidelines during preventive maintenance, repair, or replacements, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, building codes, and health and safety regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience working in building maintenance environments.
- Completion of high school diploma; a college diploma in building mechanics or related field is considered an advantage.
- Physical capability to handle labor-intensive duties including lifting and moving objects weighing up to 100 pounds without assistance.

Compensation
The hourly wage ranges between 23 and 28 Canadian dollars, dependent on candidate experience, qualifications, and internal pay structures.
