Job description
Role Overview
Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager at a hotel complex, the Maintenance Attendant carries out general repair and upkeep duties both inside and outside the building. This includes handling building mechanics, electrical maintenance, plumbing tasks, painting, and various minor repairs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct visual inspections of equipment to assess condition.
- Engage in routine preventative maintenance procedures for the building.
- Complete daily maintenance tasks and document activities accordingly.
- Perform maintenance work on both interior and exterior areas.
- Identify and report faulty systems and undertake necessary fixes.
- Potentially procure materials from offsite locations.
- Assist with moving heavy objects involving stairs, ramps, or ladders.
- Maintain mechanical components of the building under supervisor guidance.
- Carry out minor electrical tasks such as replacing light bulbs.
- Follow service manuals strictly during maintenance, repairs, or replacements, complying with engineering standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications and Attributes
- Prior experience in building maintenance is essential.
- A high school diploma or college certificate in building mechanics or a related field is advantageous.
- Good physical fitness enabling handling and movement of heavy materials (up to 100 pounds) without assistance.

Compensation Details
The remuneration for this position ranges from $22.00 to $26.00 per hour, reflective of experience, qualifications, and internal pay structures.
