About the Role
Join Cygnet, a respected provider of specialist mental health services across the UK for over 30 years, as a Maintenance Assistant. In this role, you will contribute to creating a secure and healthy environment for patients and service users in a hospital delivering CAMHS Tier 4 PICU, General Acute, and Low Secure services on four wards. The facility supports a treatment journey from admission through to intervention and discharge, including rapid assessment and treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive maintenance and repair services covering various tasks.
- Perform general building activities such as basic joinery, plumbing, painting, and grounds maintenance.
- Ensure plant and facility services remain operational and in good condition.
- Adhere to safe work methods and promptly report faulty equipment or hazards.
- Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) checks according to schedule, documenting outcomes and advising on necessary actions.
Candidate Profile
- Experienced in DIY and general maintenance duties.
- Proficient in painting and decorating for both interior and exterior settings.
- Holder of a full and valid driving license.
- Effective communicator capable of recording detailed and accurate maintenance reports.
- Preferably possesses a Level 2 Diploma in Maintenance or Painting & Decorating.
- Demonstrates a friendly, diligent, and cooperative team spirit with a positive mindset.
Work Schedule & Compensation
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, totaling 40 hours weekly. The hourly pay is £13.15.
