About the Role
This permanent position is based at the Yorkshire Parcel Hub in Normanton, WF6 2XX. The job requires working 37 hours per week, spread across five days from Tuesday to Saturday, with shifts running from 14:00 to 22:00. The hub deals mainly with oversized parcels weighing up to 30kg, often requiring two people for lifting. The role involves moving between different areas of the building and working both manually and with machinery within a warehouse setting.
As a Mail Sorter, your duties will include unloading mail from delivery vans, transporting items using trolleys, manually sorting parcels and letters, and operating sorting machinery. The environment is fast-paced and physically active, where maintaining a quick pace and switching between varied tasks is essential. The mail center processes over a million items in each shift, and you will contribute significantly to this effort.
