Job description

Position Overview

Based at the Larne Delivery Office (BT40 1AA), this permanent full-time role offers a salary of A313.68 per hour paid monthly, with opportunities for paid overtime. The standard working week comprises 37 hours over a 5-days-in-6 rotation from Monday to Saturday, typically between 07:05 and 15:05. Shifts, including weekends, rotate and routes vary to meet demand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sort mail and parcels at the delivery office.
  • Deliver post either on foot or using a Royal Mail van throughout the local area.
  • Develop friendly relationships with customers.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Candidate Profile

  • Holds a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points, under current name and address.
  • Capable and willing to drive a Royal Mail van and pass the driving assessment.
  • Physically able to walk long distances, climb stairs or hills, and lift/carry mailbags weighing 10 kg or more.
  • Reliable, self-driven, and well-organized with resilience in demanding environments.
  • Customer-oriented and takes pride in delivering excellent service.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and autonomously.
