Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Interpret tooling blueprints to understand material needs and machining processes.
• Assemble tool and die components for both new and existing tools following tool maker specifications.
• Operate milling machines, drill presses, grinders, band saws, lathes, layout tables, measuring instruments, and heat treatment ovens to complete assigned work.
• Maintain detailed documentation recording the hours spent on each project accurately.

• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the manufacturing process.

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Completion of secondary education (grade 12 or equivalent) is required.
• A post-secondary credential as a certified general machinist along with apprenticeship completion is necessary.
• Ability to read and interpret technical prints and drawings.
• Familiarity with CNC operating principles.
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM technology is considered an advantage.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail is crucial.

Salary and Benefits

The wage range for this position is $37.00 to $40.00 per hour.
