Group Overview
The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group is focused on automotive systems that propel tomorrow's mobility solutions. Their expertise lies in creating exceptional vehicle access systems, intelligent vision products, and advanced lighting technologies that enhance safety, innovation, and style.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Interpret tooling blueprints to understand material needs and machining processes.
- Assemble tool and die components for both new and existing tools following tool maker specifications.
- Operate milling machines, drill presses, grinders, band saws, lathes, layout tables, measuring instruments, and heat treatment ovens to complete assigned work.
- Maintain detailed documentation recording the hours spent on each project accurately.

- Ensure adherence to environmental and safety protocols during all tasks.
- Comply with all business and environmental management system policies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the manufacturing process.
- Support organizational operating system objectives as reflected in key performance indicators.
- Pursue customer satisfaction, both internal and external, in all activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Completion of secondary education (grade 12 or equivalent) is required.
- A post-secondary credential as a certified general machinist along with apprenticeship completion is necessary.
- Ability to read and interpret technical prints and drawings.
- Familiarity with CNC operating principles.
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM technology is considered an advantage.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail is crucial.
Salary and Benefits
The wage range for this position is $37.00 to $40.00 per hour.
