Position Summary

The Machine Operator is responsible for running various production machines to achieve daily output targets. The role involves preparing machinery, managing materials through production, and ensuring quality and safety standards. This full-time position offers a 40-hour workweek, primarily from 7 am to 3 pm, with occasional overtime and no travel requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate assigned department machinery—including expander, blockmoulder, lamination, cutting, fabrication, material handling, and recycling—to complete work orders.
• Monitor machine performance continuously to maintain optimal operation according to standard procedures.
• Stack, sort, and bundle materials in compliance with departmental standards.
• Participate in housekeeping tasks, 5S, and safety-quality-quantity-delivery control activities.
• Record manufacturing data to support quality control and continuous improvement.
• Meet production goals while adhering strictly to safety regulations.
• Assist in quality inspections to ensure compliance with parameters.
• Support Operators II and III during packaging, end-of-line tasks, and other duties as assigned.

• Basic competency in computer use, mathematics, and problem-solving; calculator proficiency.
• Ability to work with measuring tools such as gauges, tapes, and rulers.
• Teamwork mindset with ability to follow management and peer instructions.
• Willingness and capacity to learn new equipment operations.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior manufacturing experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Working Conditions

• Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Environment includes exposure to outdoor temperature fluctuations, dust, mechanical parts, pinch points, and elevated noise levels.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
• Operation around heavy, stationary manufacturing machinery.
