Machine Operator

Role Overview

We are seeking a Machine Operator to join our Cutting Hall (7AC) team at Liebherr Container Cranes Ltd. The role involves operating various machines and workstations focused on steel cutting and handling within the Cutting Hall and steelyards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and manage control functions of machines and workstations.
• Handle and move steel parts safely using cranes and lifting equipment.
• Utilize and adhere to documentation, drawings, quality gates, and production control systems.
• Conduct quality inspections and maintain records to ensure products meet customer specifications.
• Plan ahead for tasks and tools to maintain smooth workflow.
• Be adaptable in operating multiple machines as required by business needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace.
• Follow all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform additional duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience in a fast-paced machine workshop environment.
• High attention to detail and thoroughness in task execution.
• Proficient understanding of geometric tolerances, symbols, and engineering drawings.
• Experienced in operating machines involving steel cutting, plasma cutting, and gas torch usage.
• Familiarity with crane and lifting equipment operation is advantageous.
• Experience using oxyacetylene for steel cutting is a plus.
• Demonstrates flexibility, initiative, teamwork, and reliability.
• Willingness to work shifts and rotate between machines.
