About the Role and Team

The team leverages both human-driven and automated moderation to swiftly detect and remove harmful content, often before it reaches the community. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with top-tier engineers to develop advanced trust and safety systems for TikTok's platform.
- Create scalable classifiers, models, tools, and algorithms using cutting-edge machine learning, computer vision, and data mining techniques.
- Enhance and iterate on trust and safety strategies and models continuously.
- Work closely with various cross-functional teams to ensure TikTok's global safety measures are robust and effective.
Candidate Qualifications
- Completion or impending completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field.
- Strong foundational understanding in at least one domain such as machine learning, pattern recognition, natural language processing (NLP), data mining, or computer vision.
- Solid grasp of data structures and algorithms.
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
Preferred Attributes
- A passionate approach towards complex problem-solving and innovative techniques.
- Previous hands-on experience applying machine learning, NLP, pattern recognition, data mining, or computer vision methods.
- Applicants currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or related engineering disciplines are highly regarded.
