Low Code Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Low Code Engineer experienced in OutSystems and solid full-stack engineering principles to create and maintain secure, reliable digital services intended for citizens. This role involves working across multiple facets including application architecture, system integrations, SQL Server, IIS, cloud infrastructure, security protocols, observability, and CI/CD workflows. You will handle complex production troubleshooting while leading efforts in modernization, automation, and upholding engineering standards on the platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure applications along with API and SFTP integrations.
• Convert business requirements into sustainable technical solutions and enhance existing applications for performance and quality improvements.
• Participate in architecture formulation, technical design processes, and thorough code reviews.
• Enhance continuous integration/deployment processes, automated testing suites, observability frameworks, and automate operational practices.
• Encourage and uphold secure, maintainable design techniques, engineering best practices, documentation standards, knowledge sharing, and platform governance.
• Manage OutSystems environment operations including development, testing, production deployments, upgrades, migrations, and environment administration.
• Identify and resolve issues related to applications, workflows, timers, integrations, and the platform by analyzing logs, metrics, and monitoring information.
• Lead incident response, root cause investigations, and enact preventive measures to mitigate issues.
• Architect, implement, and maintain cloud-hosted services; troubleshoot IIS, Windows Server, SQL Server, network, and related infrastructure concerns.
• Engage in compliance, security hardening, backup strategies, patching routines, and efforts to achieve operational resilience.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 4 years developing and managing applications on the OutSystems platform.
• Comprehensive knowledge of OutSystems architecture, LifeTime, Service Center, deployment mechanisms, and development best practices.
• Proven ability to build secure, scalable, and maintainable OutSystems solutions and integrations.
• Capability to troubleshoot application and platform-level issues in live production settings.
• At least 6 years in professional software engineering with a solid grasp of contemporary application architecture and design.
• Proficiency in C# and .NET for backend services and API creation.
• Experience with modern frontend technologies including JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and frameworks like React or Vue.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server encompassing data modeling, complex query crafting, performance tuning, and resolving production issues.
• Experience implementing integrations through REST, SOAP, or equivalent APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud platform support and infrastructure components such as IIS, Windows Server, networking, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD toolchains, automated testing, monitoring/logging systems, observability practices, and incident management processes; Infrastructure as Code exposure is advantageous.
• Understanding secure software development best practices including authentication, authorization, encryption, audit logging, and compliance within regulated environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across application, database, integration, and infrastructure layers.
