Job description
About the Role
The Lot Associate plays an essential role in supporting customers by helping load their orders into vehicles and ensuring a safe, welcoming parking area. This position involves direct interaction with customers, often being their first and last point of contact during their visit. Adhering to customer service principles and safety procedures is critical.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service by following the company's GET Model: Greeting, Engaging, and Thanking customers.
- Maintain an adequate supply of shopping carts near the store entrance.
- Ask open-ended questions to understand customers' project needs and level of expertise.
- Assist customers with loading products into their vehicles and shopping carts safely, using trained methods for securing merchandise.
- Keep all exits and loading zones clear and tidy, sweeping debris from the front apron and lumber area.
- Adhere to Safety and Loss Prevention policies, operating equipment using correct safety protocols.

Working Conditions
- Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
- Work takes place in a warehouse environment subject to dust and noise.

- Physical activity involving bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, and pulling items.
Additional Information
- Position reports to the Front End Supervisor.
- No travel required.
- No specific certifications or leadership experience required.
Compensation
Hourly pay range between $18.75 and $19.75.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
- One to two years of retail experience preferred.
