Logistics Officer

Role Overview

The APS 3 Logistics Officer delivers logistical and administrative assistance to help manage equipment, weapons, ammunition, and other Defence materiel within an infantry battalion. Operating under supervision and established guidelines, this role involves supporting the receipt, storage, distribution, and stocktaking of inventory, maintaining precise records, and ensuring the secure and safe handling of Defence assets.

Team Environment

Working within a diverse group, you will contribute to Army readiness by supporting logistical operations for equipment management. The position requires effective communication skills, organisational ability, and adaptability in a dynamic setting. Experience with logistics or inventory management software is preferred, alongside a willingness to learn and manage shifting priorities.

The ideal candidate is dependable, organised, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively within a reserve infantry battalion context. Responsibilities include accurately maintaining records, adhering to procedures, and assisting inventory management of Defence equipment and materiel.
