Logistics Officer

Overview

The Logistics Officer is responsible for managing both inbound and outbound logistics operations, including inventory control. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders such as carriers, suppliers, warehouses, and customs brokers to ensure smooth shipping and delivery processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the receipt of goods into the warehouse, ensuring accurate inventory monitoring and addressing any damaged stock.
• Conduct purchase transactions and forward related invoices to the finance department.
• Manage outbound logistics for fulfilling customer orders, including shipment coordination and timely communication.
• Collaborate with clearing and forwarding agents to monitor turnaround times and shipment efficiency.
• Arrange transportation of shipments to their final destinations.
• Track shipments and provide consistent updates to customers.
• Work closely with service and warehouse teams to guarantee seamless execution of shipments.
• Coordinate with customs and clearing agents to enhance operational efficiency in both timing and quality.
• Verify all customs documentation required for exports and ownership transfers.
• Manage stock movements using warehouse management systems and ERP software.
• Execute monthly stock audits and ensure timely transaction updates within ERP and CRM platforms.
• Liaise with planning, finance, service, and credit teams to facilitate accurate invoicing for customer orders.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline is required.
• A minimum of three to five years of relevant logistics or supply chain experience.
