Role Summary

The Logistics Officer position is a full-time remote role focused on managing and coordinating logistics functions that underpin Ethiopian Airlines’ operations and supply chain. Key responsibilities involve supervising the flow of materials and equipment, tracking inventory levels, ensuring timely procurement, storage, and distribution across departments and hubs. Collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and logistics partners is essential to improve warehouse processes and transport scheduling while adhering to safety, regulatory, and corporate standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the movement and management of materials and equipment to support airline operations.
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records to prevent deficits or surpluses.
• Manage warehouse storage, handling, and dispatch operations aligning with quality and safety criteria.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to streamline logistical workflows and transportation.
• Generate timely reports on stock levels, cost, and delivery performance.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and reducing costs.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety and regulatory standards.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Proficient in logistics management and supply chain coordination for material and equipment flow optimization.
• Skilled in inventory control techniques to maintain precise stock levels and track consumption.
• Experienced in managing warehouse operations including storage, handling, and dispatch under safety guidelines.
• Capable of administrative tasks involving documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
• Educational background such as a bachelor's degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain, business, or related disciplines is preferred.
• Experience in the aviation sector, transportation, or large-scale industrial logistics is considered advantageous.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management capabilities; proficient with Microsoft Office and logistics or ERP software systems.
• Ability to independently manage responsibilities remotely, collaborate effectively with diverse teams, and communicate fluently in English; additional languages are an asset.
