Job description
Role Overview
This full-time position is designed to coordinate logistics operations, ensuring the smooth movement of raw materials and finished goods worldwide. Additionally, you will provide substantial technical administrative support to facilitate product and supplier management.
Main Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory and collaborate with internal teams to maintain adequate stock levels and implement proper stock rotation procedures.
- Plan, schedule, and track shipments to achieve timely delivery and meet order specifications.
- Communicate with transportation providers to organize prompt pick-ups and deliveries.
- Create and maintain accurate shipping records and manage the verification and processing of transport invoices.
- Work closely with Sales and Operations teams to track order progress, ensuring alignment between sales commitments and supply.
- Oversee logistics aspects of sales contracts, such as scheduling, credit verification, and checking product availability.
- Serve as a focal point for suppliers, customers, and transport companies to address and resolve logistics-related issues.
- Detect and resolve supply chain and delivery bottlenecks before they escalate.
- Assist the Technical Manager with necessary administrative tasks.
- Join logistics and technical projects, recommending improvements to workflow, cost, and efficiency.
- Maintain open communication with stakeholders (including sales, trading, and customer teams) regarding order status, supply information, and potential delays.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, such as veterinary and export regulations, by liaising with relevant government authorities.
- Maintain ongoing awareness of credit controls in partnership with the finance department.
- Provide cross-functional support to other business units when necessary.
- Take part in professional development opportunities to foster career advancement.
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience in logistics is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and data entry tools is required.
- Outstanding attention to detail paired with effective organizational capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Adaptability and agility in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
- An analytical mindset and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), including relevant experience, training, or voluntary work, may be considered.
