Role Overview
Approximately 90% of Meta's users are outside North America, and the company is intensifying its international expansion. The Local Product Experiences Lead for APAC spearheads a team of product marketing managers to drive how Meta's applications and services are positioned, launched, and embraced throughout diverse markets in the Asia-Pacific region. This role closely collaborates with global product, policy, and go-to-market teams to ensure that strategies are adapted effectively for local relevance and product adoption, thereby delivering customized product experiences in global markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and nurture a team of product marketing managers across APAC, establishing strategic priorities and fostering a cooperative environment with clear goals, continual feedback, and career development.
- Craft and implement region-specific strategies for Southeast Asia by pinpointing high-impact market opportunities for Meta's products.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of local consumer habits and market dynamics to inform product roadmaps in partnership with global teams.
- Represent regional product marketing perspectives in executive and cross-functional meetings, articulating market requirements and outcomes to senior leadership.
- Create and deploy scalable localization frameworks and playbooks adaptable across diverse APAC markets.
- Manage relationships with regional business teams, agency partners, and external industry bodies to amplify marketing effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications
- Over 10 years' experience in product marketing, go-to-market strategy, or similar marketing fields within technology or consumer internet sectors.
- At least 3 years of people management experience, including talent coaching, development, and retention.
- Track record of managing marketing teams across multiple countries or regions.
- Experience leading product launches and marketing initiatives across multiple APAC markets with a solid understanding of consumer and business landscapes.
- Ability to collaborate with product management and cross-functional teams to influence product strategy based on market insights.
- Strong communication skills for presenting strategic recommendations and key performance results to leadership in both written and oral formats.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience applying responsible and ethical AI practices, including risk assessment and bias mitigation.
- Proven ability to integrate AI technologies to enhance workflows and achieve measurable impacts such as improved efficiency and quality.
- Background working in global tech companies with regional responsibilities.
- Demonstrated success creating scalable marketing frameworks for culturally diverse markets.
- Familiarity with regulatory, competitive, and digital ecosystem landscapes across main APAC regions including Southeast Asia, India, and Northeast Asia.
- Professional proficiency in one or more Southeast Asian languages like Bahasa, Thai, or Vietnamese to aid in localization and stakeholder engagement within Southeast Asia.
- Active development of AI-related skills including prompt engineering and agent orchestration, staying updated on emerging AI trends.
