About ASMO
ASMO is an innovative joint venture formed by DHL and Aramco, combining DHL's expertise in logistics with Aramco's expansive supply chain network. Established to revolutionize procurement and supply chain services, ASMO targets operational commencement in 2025, aiming to deliver comprehensive supply chain solutions primarily within the industrial, energy, chemical, and petrochemical sectors. Initially serving Saudi Aramco and its subsidiaries, ASMO plans long-term expansion across all industrial sectors in Saudi Arabia and the MENA region.
Role Objective and Responsibilities
The Local & Global Market Intelligence Manager's primary responsibility is to enhance the capability of local businesses to compete for procurement contracts successfully. This role ensures adherence to government and stakeholder expectations on local business engagement and oversees the training and development of local talent.
- Drive growth and advancement of local enterprises, suppliers, and service providers within procurement and supply chain sectors.
- Collaborate with ASMO to promote employment and skill development opportunities for Saudi nationals.
- Facilitate knowledge, technology, and skill transfer from international firms to local organizations to bolster domestic capabilities.
- Guarantee the sustainability of ASMO's local content programs, contributing to regional economic progress.
- Oversee content-related initiatives alongside sales, marketing, and projects teams, including but not limited to campaigns, events, websites, newsletters, and benchmarking reports.
- Engage with government bodies and regulators to negotiate local content goals, schedules, and financial obligations.
- Assess local content submissions during tendering and contract processes to align with development objectives.
- Maintain and analyze comprehensive local content performance metrics.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Public Relations, or a related field from an accredited institution is mandatory.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Public Relations, or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Management methodologies.
- At least 9 years of relevant professional experience, including a minimum of 5 years in managerial or leadership roles.
