Job description
Role Objective
The Facility & Maintenance Manager is tasked with ensuring smooth and effective operations of the ASMO site by managing facility maintenance and administrative activities. This role leads a team composed of Facility & Maintenance Technicians and a Facility Admin Controller, partnering with various departments and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape and implement the Department’s strategic plans in line with corporate objectives and short to mid-term goals.
- Develop annual business plans supporting financial and strategic targets within assigned responsibility areas.
- Monitor and report on Department KPIs to evaluate performance and suggest corrective measures.
- Manage all facets of facility maintenance, including infrastructure, equipment, and utilities, ensuring safe and reliable operations.
- Design and oversee preventative maintenance programs to maximize uptime and minimize interruptions.
- Coordinate with maintenance technicians for routine inspections, repairs, and upkeep activities.
- Supervise external vendors and contractors engaged for specialized maintenance services as needed.
- Ensure the facility meets all safety and environmental standards.
- Lead and mentor maintenance technicians, assigning tasks, overseeing workflows, and fostering team development through evaluations and training.
- Collaborate closely with the Facility Admin Controller on budgeting, procurement, and administrative records related to facility operations.
- Manage inventory for maintenance materials and equipment to optimize use and control expenses.
- Ensure timely documentation of maintenance work and expenditures.
- Work in partnership with production, logistics, and quality departments to ensure smooth facility functioning.
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost reductions within facility management.
- Provide performance reports on facility maintenance and administration to the Site Director.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution or equivalent relevant experience is mandatory.
- Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent is desirable.
- Preferred certifications include Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
- At least nine years' experience in facility maintenance or related fields, with a minimum of three years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven track record in facility maintenance and operational management.
