Job description
Position Overview
Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Lobby Ambassador to join the Front Office Department. The role centers around managing the main lobby area, warmly welcoming guests and visitors, and providing guidance in line with the brand's Legendary Quality Experience and standards. The position reports directly to the Front Office Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of the hotel's services, facilities, and layout.
- Stay informed about all VIP arrivals, current in-house guests, and departures.
- Remain updated on the hotel's ongoing events and functions.
- Engage effectively with all guests and visitors, ensuring a hospitable environment.
- Maintain consistent presence in the lobby to greet and assist guests while preventing congestion.
- Take initiative to keep the lobby clean and well-organized.
- Complete tasks efficiently following company policies and procedures to meet job objectives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
- Participate in Front Office briefings and training sessions arranged by management and learning & development teams.
- Arrive on time in appropriate uniform and name badge, adhering to the hotel's grooming and hygiene standards.
- Comply strictly with the hotel's code of conduct and rules and regulations.
Candidate Requirements
- Prior experience in a high-volume, internationally renowned luxury hotel chain is essential, with several years in a similar role preferred.
- A degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality Management is advantageous.
- Demonstrates an outgoing personality with strong interpersonal skills.
- Possesses the ability to understand guest needs and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Excellent communication and organizational capabilities.
