Role Summary
The Linux Systems & Platforms Technical Specialist role is a full-time, on-site position located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This specialist will manage and administer Linux and Unix operating systems to guarantee system stability, security, and optimal performance across enterprise servers and platforms. Daily duties include continuous system surveillance, incident management, troubleshooting technical infrastructure, executing configuration changes, applying patches and upgrades, documenting procedures, and collaborating with other teams to support various projects and enhance the IT environment. The role emphasizes adherence to best practices and standards while contributing to ongoing improvements in system reliability and operational effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain enterprise Linux servers, including Red Hat, Ubuntu, and CentOS distributions.
- Monitor system performance metrics, diagnose issues, and maintain high system availability.
- Implement security protocols including patch management and system hardening techniques.
- Automate standard operational tasks through scripting, utilizing Bash and Python.
- Oversee virtualization and containerization platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Linux systems administration.
- Current residency in Riyadh or anywhere within Saudi Arabia is mandatory.
- Fluency in Arabic is required for effective communication.
- Must possess a transferable Iqama (residency permit) valid in Saudi Arabia.
